Walks

We believe The Hoddington Arms has the perfect setting for you to enjoy countryside walks through scenic Hampshire settings. Why not explore the local area, history, and perhaps even pick up some fresh produce from one of the local farms or the delightful Upton Grey Village Shop?

Of course, no country walk would be complete if not followed by a well-earned pub lunch and a pint (or a glass of the finest from our wine list…).

The Hoddington Arms is proud to be dog-friendly and can provide you with a lovely garden, perfect for entertaining families with little ones.

When embarking on one of our pub walks, please ensure that you follow the Countryside Code:

1. Respect other people
– Consider the local community and other people enjoying the outdoors
– Leave gates and property as you find them and follow paths unless wider access is available

2. Protect the natural environment
– Leave no trace of your visit and take your litter home
– Keep dogs under effective control

3. Enjoy the outdoors
– Plan ahead and be prepared
– Follow advice and local signs

Their inclusion on the website does not indicate an endorsement of any specific route by The Hoddington Arms. Some walking routes may cover private land and make use of permissive footpaths. It is the responsibility of the walker to check permissions and behave in a responsible manner while following the routes.

Always wear appropriate footwear and take care when walking. No responsibility is accepted by the authors or The Hoddington Arms for the state or condition from time to time of the paths comprised in these walks. Walking can be dangerous and is done entirely at your risk. Information is provided free of charge; it is each walker’s responsibility to check it and navigate using a map and compass. Please follow the Countryside code – keep dogs under control and take your litter with you.
